Dr. Brandy Sims, D.H.S. (Hon.)

Founder & CEO

Brandy Sims, D.H.S. (Hon.), is the Founder & CEO of Elizabeth House Foundation, a North Carolina-based nonprofit dedicated to advancing health equity, mental wellness, and economic empowerment for underserved women and families. A certified Community Health Worker, wellness advocate, author, speaker, and entrepreneur, Brandy has devoted her career to breaking down barriers to preventive healthcare and connecting communities to life-changing resources.

Under her leadership, Elizabeth House Foundation has helped hundreds of women access breast health education, mammogram screenings, patient navigation services, mental health support, and workforce development opportunities. Through innovative programs such as Pink Pathways and Sisters in Strength, she continues to champion whole-person wellness while empowering women to thrive physically, emotionally, and financially.
Brandy is also the author of Soul Snatchers: A True Story About Narcissistic Abuse and is a sought-after speaker on topics including women’s health, resilience, healing, leadership, and transforming pain into purpose.

Paula Cropper

BOARD CHAIR

Paula Cropper is the CEO of Paula Palooza Entertainment, LLC and serves as Board Chair of Elizabeth House Foundation. With a professional background in banking, auditing, and business leadership, Paula brings valuable financial oversight and strategic guidance to the organization.

A breast cancer survivor and passionate advocate for early detection, she is committed to helping women access life-saving healthcare resources while strengthening community partnerships that create lasting impact. Her leadership, lived experience, and dedication to service make her a powerful voice in advancing the Foundation’s mission.

Brittany Johnson, LCSW-A

VICE CHAIR

Brittany Johnson is a dedicated clinical social worker and ACTT Team Lead in Mecklenburg County. She is committed to providing trauma-informed, community-based mental health care and supporting individuals living with severe mental illness in achieving stability and independence.

As Vice Chair of the Elizabeth House Foundation Board, Brittany brings valuable clinical expertise, leadership, and a strong commitment to equitable access to services that empower women, families, and underserved communities.

Shonda Santos

SECRETARY

Shonda Santos is a dedicated volunteer and passionate community advocate whose commitment to advancing breast healthcare access stems from a personal family history with breast cancer.

With professional expertise in project management, Shonda brings strong organizational skills, strategic planning experience, and a collaborative approach to community engagement. Her ability to connect with diverse stakeholders makes her a valuable contributor to the Elizabeth House Foundation’s mission and initiatives.

Angela “Jackie” Rojas

BOARD MEMBER

Jackie Rojas is a Registered Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Interpreter, and Certified Legal Interpreter with extensive experience helping individuals and families navigate healthcare and immigration systems.

As Co-Founder of Hermanas Unidas, LLC, Jackie is dedicated to empowering migrant women and children through advocacy, access, and culturally competent support. Her leadership strengthens Elizabeth House Foundation’s connection to Latino and Hispanic communities while ensuring language access, trust, and representation remain central to the organization’s mission.
